About Nova
Nova Browser started with a simple observation: everyone browses differently, but every browser tries to be one thing for everyone.
Gamers need RGB themes and resource limiters. Developers need built-in terminals and API testers. Privacy-focused users need a VPN and tracker blocking. Minimalists just want clean, fast browsing. Why should all these people use the same browser?
Nova is a family of six browsers, each built from the ground up on the same powerful Chromium engine. They share a common core — ad blocking, custom themes, tab management — but diverge where it matters. Each variant has its own UI, features, and personality.
The lineup
- Nova Pulse — The gaming browser. RGB themes, CPU/RAM limiters, Twitch & Discord sidebars.
- Nova Flow — The productivity browser. Workspaces, split screen, focus mode, calendar.
- Nova Cloak — The privacy browser. Built-in VPN, tracker blocking, fingerprint protection.
- Nova Code — The developer browser. Terminal, API tester, enhanced DevTools.
- Nova Clear — The minimalist browser. Zen design, reader mode, distraction-free.
- Nova Spark — The lite browser. Blazing fast, no extras, pure speed.
Built with
- Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) — The same engine that powers Chrome, packaged for custom browser development.
- C++17 — For the core engine, resource management, and platform integration.
- HTML/CSS/JS — For the browser chrome (tab bar, sidebar, toolbar). Themed per variant with CSS custom properties.
- Claude AI (Haiku) — Powering the built-in AI assistant for page summarization, writing help, and smart search.
